1 lb. ground beef or turkey
1 small onion (chopped)
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 (6oz) can tomato paste
1 cup of water
All kinds of spices - a Bay Leaf (remove before layering in lasagna), Oregano, Basil, Italian Seasoning, season to taste.
2 tsp sugar (optional)

Filling:
1 large container of Cottage Cheese
12 to 16 oz of shredded Mozzarella cheese

Uncooked Lasagna noodles

Directions:
Directions:
Brown ground beef or turkey with onion, add stewed tomatoes, tomato paste, water, spices, and sugar. Simmer until thicken.


In a rectangle baking dish alternate these layers

1/3 of the meat sauce mixture
1 layer of regular uncooked lasagna noodles
All of the cheese filling
1/3 of the meat sauce mixture
1 layer of regular uncooked lasagna noodles
add the rest of the meat sauce
Sprinkle with a little more Mozzarella Cheese

Cover with Aluminum Foil
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 to 1 1/2 hours until the noodles are cooked (check the doneness of the noodles with a toothpick).

To add a little interest sometimes I add sliced black olives to the second layer of meat sauce.
