(Cookie Dough:)
1 lb. Butter
2.5 c. Sugar
4 Eggs
1 c Buttermilk
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 tsp. Baking Powder
5 c. Flour

(Icing:)
2 c. Sugar
3/4 c. Milk
1/8 tsp. Salt
1 T. Flour
Lump of Butter

Directions:

(Cookie Dough:) Mix all together and chill covered overnight. Roll out dough ¼” thick and cut. Bake at 375 for 5 minutes.

(Icing:) Cook to soft boil stage. Add 1 tsp. vanilla when done. Add milk to keep at right consistency.

Grandma cut them into circles. You could use any shape cutter. I mixed an extra cup flour and used sprinkles.
