1 Angel Food Cake Mix
1 cup boiling water
1 pkg. (3oz) strawberry jello
1 pkg. (1 lb) frozen sliced strawberries
1/2 pt (1 cup) whipping cream
2 T sugar
Red food coloring

Directions:
Directions:
Bake Angel Food Cake and cool.
Dissolve jello in water and add frozen block of strawberries. Stir to break up and mix berries. Place cake widest side down on plate. Cut 1 inch layer from the top and set aside. Then cut around cake 1 inch from inner edge to one inch from bottom. Gently remove the section of cake between the cuts, tearing it into small pieces.
Fold pieces into strawberry mixture and pour it into cake shell. Place cake layer on top. Whip cream until thick. Stir in sugar and add a few drops of red coloring until pink. Spread this over top and sides of cake. Decorate with whole strawberries. Refrigerate at least 1 hour.

I always made this for Stan's birthday. The other kids said they got a cake mix only. I made what they requested. Connie always wanted Confetti Angel Food and one of them always wanted a chocolate cake. All of them could pick the cake they wanted and the day of their birthdays they did not have to help with dishes.
