8 oz. flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
3 oz. glace' cherries
6 oz. butter or margarine
6 oz. fine sugar
2 eggs
milk to mix
a few drop of vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Grease cake tin and line it with baking paper. Sift flour, salt and baking powder into a bowl, divide glace' cherries into four and add them to flour. Cream the butter and sugar, beat in each egg separately then stir in the dry ingredients lightly. Adding little milk to mix and lastly add the vanilla. Beat the mixture thoroughly, put it into prepared tin and bake in a moderate oven (350º) for about 1 hour until firm to the touch and golden brown.
