2 cups sifted flour
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tbsp. white sugar
1 egg
1 cup milk
2 tbsp. melted butter

Directions:
Directions:
Mix and sift flour, baking powder and salt. Add sugar. Mix beaten egg, milk and cooled melted butter. Make a well in centre of dry ingredients. Pour in the liquid mixture and mix very quickly (mixture should be lumpy not smooth.) Fill muffin tins (greased) two thirds full. Bake at once in hot oven (400) for 10 - 15 minutes. You can add any desired fruit to this recipe.
