Ingredients:
Ingredients:
Bread, with French or Sandwich style
10 eggs
3 1/2 cups milk
1 cup sugar, halved
1 tablespoon vanilla
3 tablespoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
4-6 medium apples, optional
1 stick Butter, if using apples

Directions:
Directions:
Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with Pam. In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add apple slices and cook, stirring occasionally until apples are tender. Cut French bread, removing crust, into 1-1/2 inch slices. Place 1/2 of the bread by slice in the dish, placing tightly together. Mix eggs, milk, vanilla and sugar together using either a hand whisk or blender. Place the apples over the bottom layer of bread and pour 1/2 of the milk mixture over the apples. Cover with remaining bread and pour the rest of the milk mixture over the top. Mix together the other 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg. Sprinkle over the top of the casserole. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Remove when ready to cook and allow to sit on the counter for about 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 350º. Uncover and bake for 1 hour. Remove from oven and let stand for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Personal Notes:
For the milk total, consider combining 1 cup non-fat vanilla creamer, 1 cup non-fat cream and 1 1/2 cups milk. You can use precut Texas toast instead of French bread, just remove crusts. If you prefer not to use the apples, just pour all of the egg mixture over the bread and proceed. It will puff up this way. Serve with baked apples and syrup on the side.
