3 cups flour
2 tablespoons BAKING powder
1 ¼ tsp salt
1 Tblsp white sugar
5 Tblsp ice water and 1 Tblsp cider vinegar
1 cup shortening (I use ½ canola oil & ½ Crisco-type shortening)
***using 1 tsp bacon grease makes it even better***

Directions:
In large bowl mix 1st four ingredients
Take out ½ cup of this and put in another large bowl, stir in water/vinegar mixture. Mix till smooth.
Cut shortening in to large bowl of flour mixture till it looks like small peas. Pour into wet mixture.
Mix with hands or wooden spoon just until well-blended.
Wrap in plastic or wax paper & chill while you make the filling.

This makes either a small 2-crust pie crust or a large deep dish on crust pie.
