2 lbs. beef and pork ground together
½ cup uncooked rice
1 chopped onion
2 eggs
1 large jar sauerkraut

Directions:
Directions:

Mix meat with rice, onion and eggs; form meatballs. Do not drain sauerkraut – place on bottom of dutch oven pan, place meatballs on top, add water to cover the meat. Cover pan and place on medium flame for 1 to1-1/2 hours until the rice is done. Dumplings should be added to the above mixture. Or, you may make bread dumplings separately and serve on the side.
