Taco fried Indian bread (you can use scone or sopaipilla mix for a shortcut, roll, cut, and fry)

Or:
2 cups flour
¾ tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1 cup warm water
1 ½ cups shortening for deep frying

Topping
1 pint sour cream
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
Lettuce
2 tomatoes, chopped
Filling
1 ½ lbs ground beef
1 onion, chopped
Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and oregano to taste
1 can refried beans
1 can tomato sauce
1 can green chili salsa (can substitute regular salsa also)

Directions:
Tacos: Combine dry ingredients and add warm water. Roll dough about one inch thick and cut into 6 pieces. Deep fry until brown on each side and cooked in the middle. If using scone or sopaipilla mix, tacos will be a little puffier.

Filling: cook ground beef in 1 ½ cups water and onion for 10-15 minutes or until cooked thoroughly. Drain. Season with spices. Add beans, tomato sauce, and salsa. Place each taco on a plate. Layer each with meat mixture, sour cream, cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes.
