2 sticks Margarine
2 cups firmly packed Light Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Light Corn Syrup
1 tsp. Salt
1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Vanilla
6 qt. Popped Popcorn (about 24 cups) preferably NOT bagged popcorn.

Pop popcorn and place in a large bowl - set aside. Melt margarine over low heat in a sauce pan. Stir in brown sugar, corn syrup, and salt. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in baking soda and vanilla. Gradually pour over popcorn, mixing well.

Turn into two large shallow baking or roasting pans, spreading out evenly.

Bake in 225º oven for 30 minutes, being careful to stir it and turn it over every 10 minutes with a metal spatula or spoon.

Remove from oven and immediately dump onto waxed paper. Cool and break into chunks. Store in tightly covered container....that is, if there is any left to store.
