1 c. powdered sugar
1 c. white sugar
1 c. butter
1 c. Crisco
2 beaten eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
3/4 tsp. almond extract

part 2
4 c. and 4 T. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar

preheat oven 350

Mix all the ingredients from part 1 together, be sure they are mixed well.

Add the part 2 ingredients
In your hand roll 1 tsp. of dough into a ball, press down flat using a glass dipped in sugar.

1st pan test time: they should be a very light golden brown. Approximate baking time 8 to 12 minutes.

DO NOT GREASE PAN.. . . Adjust baking time to your area.

This is my absolute favorite sugar cookie recipe. At Christmas time I used colored sugar to coat the glass. . . so pretty!
