Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3-4 cups of Basmati rice
2 lbs. meat: beef or chicken.
1 onion
2 tablespoon of white sugar
1/2 cup water
1 Tablespoon of spices Cumin, cinnamon, cardamom, coriander
1-2 tablespoon salt
1 cup of canola oil
1 C shredded carrots
1 C black raisin

Directions:
Directions:
Put rice in a bowl, wash the rice first 2-3 times, and fill it with warm water so it softens. Let this bowl stand for at least 2 hours. Then cut an onion and clean the meat with water. Place the meat and onions in a cooker. Add enough water so it reaches higher than the meat. Add 1 Tbsp salt. Let it cook for half an hour (until the meat gets softer). Put sugar in a small pan and put on the stove on low heat and brown it 1-2 mins, then carefully add ½ cup water, salt, spices and oil in the pan. Cook rice: Pour water in a pot and let it boil. Put the rinsed and drained rice in the boiling water. Let it boil for 4-7 mins, then drain the rice. Now pour spice and sugar mixture on the rice. Make the carrots and raisins: Cut the carrots in small pieces and put it in a deep fryer or normal pan in which you just make chips. Let the carrots cook until they get a bit soft. Add raisins and let them cook for two minutes with the carrots. Get both carrots and raisin out of the pan or deep fryer. Put the rice into the oven safe pan and put the carrots and raisins on top of the rice but only in one corner of the rice pan. Preheat oven to 350 F. Place the rice pan with lid on or aluminum foil to cover the pan; put the pan in the oven for 45 mins or one hour. After the rice is cooked take it out of the oven and carefully take the raisin and carrots out and put it on a small plate for now. Get some of the rice on a platter, put meat in the middle of the rice; add more rice on top of the meat and put raisins and carrots on top.
