1/4 tsp. nutmeg, ground cloves and cinnamon
1 Tbls.candied orange and lemon peel
1/4 C. chopped almonds
1/2 C. chopped citron
2 C. bread crumbs
1/2 C. flour
1 C. sugar
1 C. currants
1 C. raisins
1 C. suet
1/2 C. chopped apple
3 eggs
1/2 C. brandy

Directions:
Directions:
Mix dry ingredients together. The suet and apples should be chopped very fine. add to dry ingredients.Add the eggs, beating the whites and yolks separately. Last add the brandy, mix well. Put into a greased pudding mold or bunt pan that has a tight cover. Steam for 6 hours. Will keep indefinitely if kept in a dry place.
the flavor improves with age.
