1 medium banana, peeled and split length wise.
1 scoop each; vanilla, choc., strawberries
2 T Fresh or frozen strawberries
2 T pineapple chunks or 1 T pineapple toppings
2 T whipped cream
1 T of. chopped peanuts
1 T choc. syrup
2 maraschino cherries

Directions:
Start by putting the banana long ways in the bottom of a dessert dish. Place a scoop of each ice cream between the split banana pieces. Top with the remaining toppings. Put the whipped cream on top and place the cheery on top.

In 1904 the first banana split was made in Latrobe, Pennsylvania by David Stickler, an eager apprenticed pharmacist at a local drug store

Valley Dairy Restaurants still use his original formula when making the banana split.
