4 slices whole wheat or oatmeal bread with crusts removed
1/4 t dried oregano or cumin
4 T diced green chilis
4 eggs
1 C milk
1 C grated white cheese...like Monterey Jack or fontina

Directions:
Directions:
12 hours before serving! Butter individual baking dishes and fit a slice of bread into each...trimming to fit as necessary. Sprinkle with oregano or cumin and green chilis. Whisk together milk and egg and pour 1/4 of mixture over each bread-lined dish. Top with cheese. Cover with plastic wrap and chill overnight for bread to absorb milk and egg.
Remove from fridge. Bake in preheated 375 degree oven for 30 minutes. Top with avocado slices if desired.
