5 1/2 cups sugar
1 can of evaporated milk
18 ounces chocolate chip
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup butter
walnuts to taste

Directions:
Directions:
bring sugar and evaporated milk to boil on a medium heat and then turn down instantly and cook 8 minutes on a low heat. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips vanilla and butter. optional add nuts. Stir together then put in 13 x 9 x 2" pan and cool cut into pieces.

important to use pure vanilla , Ellsworth butter (good quality), and Nestles real chocolate chips.
