1 lb. prunes
1 1/4 C water
1/2 C sugar
1/2 vanilla bean
1/4 C port, brandy or clariet

Directions:
Directions:
Soak 1 lb. prunes in water 2 hrs., drain, cook over slow fire with 1 1/4 C water, 1/2 C sugar, 1/2 vanilla vean, until firm but not soft. Take off fire, add 1/4 C port, brandy or clariet, remove vanilla bean.

If juice too runny, remove prunes, cook juice down justy a little.
