1.5 lbs. ground beef or turkey
1 large onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 15-oz can chili beans in chili gravy
1 14.5-oz can diced tomatoes and green chilies, undrained
1 c. beef broth
1 medium green pepper (sweet, not hot) chopped
2 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. ground cumin
¼ tsp. salt
8 oz. dried cavatappi or macaroni, cooked according to package directions
Shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
Chopped green onion (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
In large skillet, cook ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until meat is brown and onion is tender. Drain off fat.
In slow cooker, combine meat mixture, undrained beans, undrained tomatoes and green chilies, broth, sweet pepper, chili powder, cumin, and salt.
Cover and cook on low heat setting for 4-6 hours or on high setting for 2-3 hours. Stir in cooked pasta. If desired, top with cheese and green onion.
