"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

1 medium onion, chopped
1 large clove garlic
1 (303) can diced tomatoes or 6 chopped fresh tomatoes

Directions:
Saute onion and okra in oil: add garlic. When onions are golden and okra is brown, add tomatoes and corn. Place seasonings in and add tomato sauce and enough water to make the mixture soup (barely cover okra with water). Cover and cook on medium heat for 45 minutes to one hour. When all the vegetables are tender and the liquid is cooked out, turn heat off and let it set for the flavor to go through the mixture.
