2 cups white sugar
2 cups brown sugar
1 ½ cups shortening
2 tsp. vanilla
4 eggs
13.5 oz. can crushed pineapple
8 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
4 tsp. baking powder
2 cups nuts (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
1. Cream together the white sugar, brown sugar, and shortening.
2. Add vanilla, eggs, and pineapple and mix until combined.
3. In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients and mix well. Add to wet ingredients and mix thoroughly.
4. Bake cookies at 350˚ for 10-15 minutes.
