Okra, small and tender, 2"-3" long
8 heads fresh dill OR 16 t. dill seed
4 C. sugar
4 C. vinegar
2 C. water
1/4 C. pickling salt
8 cloves garlic
8 t. mustard seed
8 small hot peppers, fresh or dried

Directions:
Directions:
In a large kettle, bring sugar, vinegar, water and salt to a boil. Put 1 head of dill or 1 t. dill seed,1 clove of garlic and 1 T. mustard seed, into the bottom of 8 sterilized pint jars. Pack okra tightly into jars. Pour liquid over okra, filling to 1" from the top of the jar. Wipe rims of jars with clean cloth and seal. Process in boiling water bath for 5 minutes.

You can us the leftover brine from the okra for pickled eggs. Boil eggs, peel and place into jars. Pour the brine from the okra over the eggs. Let sit in the refrigerator for a week, and then enjoy!
