the best lettuce you can purchase (NOT Iceberg)
sliced almonds (you will carmalize them)
canned mandarin oranges (at least 2 small cans - more if you prefer)
green onions

for almonds: 1/4 tbsp butter - 1/4 cup RAW sugar

for dressing: 1/4 cup CANOLA oil
2 tbsp RAW sugar
1 tbsp white vinegar
1/2 tsp salt
1.2 tsp pepper

Directions:
Directions:
to carmelize almonds: melt butter with raw sugar - heat until almonds are browned - cool on greased tinfoil and when cool break into small bite size pieces

to make dressing: blend all ingredients together really, really well then refrigerate overnight (or at least 4 hours) - shake extremely well prior to serving

DO NOT SUBSTITUTE white sugar for the raw sugar - it will not taste right!
