1 c butter softened
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 c shortening
6 eggs
2 c of sugar
3 c of flour
1 tbsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tbsp lemon extract
1 c milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325ºF. Grease and flour 10 inch tube pan. Cream butter and shortening in large mixing bowl, until fluffy. Add sugar, 1/2 cup at a time, creaming well after each addition. Stir in vanilla, lemon extract and juice. Add eggs, one at a time, blending well after each addition. Shift together flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk. stir thoroughly after each addition. pour into prepared pan. Bake 1 hour and 20 min, or until wooden toothpick inserted in center comes clean. Cool 15 min on wire rack remove from pan.
