Ingredients:  
8 lbs. pickles (sliced)
2 cups lime
2 gallons water

Mix:
2 quarts vinegar
4 1/2 lbs. sugar
1 tbs. canning salt
1 tbs. celery salt
1 tbs. mixed spices

Directions:
Directions:
Put pickles in large container
Dissolve lime in water and pour over pickles
Let set 24 hours
Wash lime off cucumbers till water is clear about 3 or 4 times
Let stand in cold or ice water 3 hrs.

Pour mixture over pickles
Let set 24 hours
Put vinegar mixture and pickles on stove and boil 30 minutes or until they are clear
Fill hot jars and seal
