1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup milk
2 2/3 cup sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
4 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. baking soda
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 cups sour cream (or plain greek yogurt)
2 cups ripe bananas, mashed
2 cups nuts, chopped (optional)

Cream wet ingredients and add dry. It should be the consistency of thick cake batter. Add milk if needed (up to one cup total.) Grease and flour pans and fill 1/2 full. (2 large pans or 4 medium pans.) Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes (smaller pans need less time.) Test with a toothpick to make sure middle is done.
