1-3 oz. box apricot Jell-O
1 (15 ½ oz.) can crushed pineapple (do not drain)
(If you can not find a 15 ½ oz. can remove enough to make the correct amount. The salad will not set if you use too much.)
3 T. sugar
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. Cool Whip
½ c. pecans (if desired)

Directions:
Cook first 3 ingredients to a boil. Set aside to cool. When cool, add buttermilk, Cool Whip and pecans. Put in serving dish; refrigerate until set.
