1/2 C. soft butter (1 stick)
1 C. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg
1/2 C. sour cream
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 1/4 C. flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter, sugar and vanilla. Add egg, sour cream, baking soda and salt. Beat. Stir in flour. Roll out to 1/4 in. thick on lightly floured board. Cut into shapes. Bake on greased cookie sheet at 350º for approx. 8 min.- until just about to start to turn brown. Do not overbake. Frost and enjoy!

These are great soft cookies perfect for any holiday! I always double the recipe. I remember Grandma Vermilla always making a Valentine cookie for the grandkids with their name on it. Now that's love!
