Ingredients:  
1 cup melted butter
2 cups brown sugar, firmly packed
2 tsp baking powder
4 cups Robin Hood oats
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Combine brown sugar, baking powder and oats in bowl.

Add butter and vanilla and blend thoroughly.

Spread thinly in ungreased pan.

Bake at 375 for 15 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove from oven - allow to stand 5 minutes, while still warm cut in squares with sharp knife.

Allow to cool thoroughly and then remove squares from pan.

This is one of the first squares Carolyn remembers her mother making. It is delicious, especially if you like carmel!
