2 pounds lamb or beef cubed, with bones
1 can dried chick peas
2 packages frozen pearl onion
1 tablespoon of tomato paste
1 teaspoon of pepper paste
1 teaspoon of salt or more as needed
3 dried limes
1 t. cinnamon
1 t. cardamom

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oil in a Dutch oven and brown the onions and remove with a slotted spoon. Brown the meat until well caramelized. Add the chick peas, tomato paste, pepper paste, salt, dried limes, and spices and cook until the meat is almost done. Add the browned onions and more water, if needed, and continue cooking until both the meat
and onions are tender.

Serve with bulgur cooked with vermicelli.
