1cup butter, unsalted
3 cups granulated sugar, preferably superfine
3 each eggs, room temperature
1 t vanilla
3 cups flour
1 t baking powder
1 t baking soda
1 t salt
1 t cinnamon
1 t ground cloves
½ t nutmeg
16 oz pumpkin

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter. Add sugar and cream. Add eggs, one at a time and beat well after each addition. Add vanilla. Combine next seven ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Mix in pumpkin. Pour into four greased and floured 1 pound coffee cans or loaf pans. Bake at 350 for 1 hour or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in cans ten minutes. Remove from cans and cool completely on racks. Loaf pans make cook more quickly.
