4 cups flour
2 cups sugar
2-1/2 cups applesauce (chunky style)
2 sticks margarine, melted and cooled
1/4 tsp cloves
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
4 tsp regular baking soda
1 box raisins
1 cup chopped pecans
Directions:

Combine the flour, sugar, spices, baking soda and raisins. Add cooled margarine and applesauce. Mix with large wooden spoon. Add pecans and blend, do not use a mixer. Spoon thickened batter into well buttered pan. Bake at 275º for approximately 1-1/2 hours or until a toothpick comes out clean.
