2 1/2 squares (ounces) chocolate
1 cup milk
1 egg and 1 egg white
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 1/4 cup flour
1/8 tsp salt
1 1/2 tsp vanilla
3/4 tsp soda
Directions:
Directions:
Melt chocolate in double boiler. Add 1/2 cup of milk. Cook over hot water until smooth, stirring. Then stir it into the egg well beaten. Set over hot water again and when thick like custard, add sugar, butter and vanilla. Pour into bowl and stir in alternately flour, salt and soda sifted together and rest of milk. Fold in egg whites beaten stiff. Bake 30 min at 3254.
Use 8x8 cake pan, well greased. Do not overbake, insert tooth pick in center and when it comes out clean, cake is done.
