4 - large potatoes, thinly sliced
1 - onion
2/3 cup - hot water
1 chicken bouillon cube*, crushed
1 tsp - dried parsley
1/4 tsp - garlic powder
1/4 tsp - dried thyme
1/4 tsp - pepper
2 TBSP - grated cheddar cheese
2 TBSP - Parmesan cheese

*If your brand of bouillon cube makes 2 cups (500 mL) of broth per cube, use only 1/2 of a cube.

1.Put potatoes and onion in an 8x8x2 inch (2L) casserole dish.

2. Combine hot water, bouillon cube, parsley, garlic powder and thyme in a small bowl. Crush the bouillon cube with the back of a spoon to make sure it dissolves. Mix well. Add pepper to taste. Pour mixture over potatoes.

3. With oven at 425ºF, cover casserole dish and bake 30 to 35 minutes or until potatoes are almost tender.

4. Take cover off casserole dish and sprinkle with grated cheese and Parmesan cheese. Bake 10 to 15 minutes longer or until top is browned and there is no liquid in the casserole.
