2 C. of sugar
1 C. of vegetable oil
2 C. of flour
1 15-oz. can of pumpkin
2 tsp. of cinnamon
2 tsp. of baking soda
1/4 tsp. of nutmeg
1/4-1/2 tsp. of ground cloves
1/2 tsp. of ginger
1 C. of pecans or walnuts (optional)

Beat together all ingredients, mixing well. Pour into lightly greased microwaveable bundt pan. Cook 10 minutes on 50% power (medium), then 10 minutes on 100% power (high), giving the pan a quarter-turn every four to five minutes. Let stand 10 minutes before inverting onto serving platter. If desired, dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with a powdered sugar glaze.
