Batter:

1 c flour ½ c milk
2/3 c sugar 1 heaping cup of fresh rhubarb
2 tsp baking powder pinch of salt

Step 1: Stir together batter ingredients.
Step 2: Put the following ingredients in a glass pan (approximately 9 x 14):

3 c boiling water 1 tsp or more of vanilla (to taste)
1 c brown sugar 1 T butter

Step 3: Stir the ingredients until all is dissolved.

Step 4: Spoon chunks of batter in dissolver mixture.

Step 5: Bake approximately 30-40 minutes at 400 degrees.

Step 6: Let cool, but not too long. It’s great hot with vanilla ice cream!
