1 box saltines
1-1/4 cup canola oil (or other light vegetable oil)
1 pkg. Ranch dressing mix
Crushed red pepper flakes (to taste)

Mix oil and seasonings and heat in microwave. Pour over crackers in large roaster and stir gently to coat evenly (or mix by putting crackers in ziplock bag and mix). Bake for 1 hour at 250 degrees, stirring every 15 minutes. Store in airtight container.

Anne’s Note: Original recipe did not call for any baking time, just coating crackers with oil and seasonings. Either way works fine, but the baked ones seem a little crispier.
