1 3 - 3 ½ lb. chicken, cut into pieces
2½ c water (about)
2 tsp salt

Dressing:
6 c stale bread cubes
⅓ c butter
¼ c minced onion
½ tsp poultry seasoning
½ tsp salt
⅛ tsp pepper

Gravy
4 T flour
4 T fat (chicken or butter)
2 c chicken broth

Directions:
Directions:
Simmer the chicken in the water & salt until tender. Remove the meat from the bones. Save the broth for the gravy. Place the meat in a large greased pan, 10” x 15”. (or 13” x 9”)

Mix together the dressing ingredients. Do not moisten. Cover the chicken with the dressing.

Make gravy. Pour over the dressing. Bake at 375º 30-45 min. until browned. Serves 6-8.
