This is a flexible recipe – you can use any kind of nuts, fruits etc. as a complement to the sprouts.

1.5 pound fresh Brussels sprouts
1/3 pound of bacon
1/2 cup white wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar
2 generous tablespoons maple syrup or brown sugar
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
Salt and pepper to taste1/4 cup coarsely chopped pecans, toasted or candied walnuts $
I chopped crisp apple
Dried cranberries or dried cherries

Directions:

1. With food processor on, drop Brussels sprouts through the food chute of food processor fitted with the slicer attachment. Transfer Brussels sprouts to a bowl.
2. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add bacon to pan; cook 5 minutes or until crisp, turning occasionally. Remove bacon from pan, reserving 2-6 tablespoons drippings in pan; set bacon aside. Reduce heat to medium-low; add vinegar and next 4 ingredients (through pepper), stirring well to combine. Add sauce to Brussels sprouts; sprinkle evenly with bacon and pecans and apples and cherries. Serve immediately.
