1 package ground Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage with sage
One 28 oz. can of diced tomatoes
That same 28 oz. can filled with chicken broth
One 28 oz. can of hominy
1 large diced onion
1 clove of chopped garlic (if desired)
Some chopped jalapeno (if desired)
Green chiles fresh roasted to taste. I used about 1 cup.
New Mexican Red Chile powder to taste

Brown sausage. Add garlic and onion to slightly brown. Add all other ingredients. Simmer for two or three hours. Top with sour cream and cilantro or parsley.
