Sweet Italian sausage links - 4 to 6
1 c. dry red wine good enough to drink with dinner
1 jar of your favorite sauce - Arrabiatta is ours
Mushrooms if desired

Brown sausage in a little olive oil (in non-stick crockpot if possible). Add the sauce. Pour wine into the jar to get every last bit. Add wine. Cook in crockpot 6-8 hours until sausage is tender and falling apart. Add mushrooms before cooking if you want.

Our favorite Italian restaurant in Chicago was Febo's. We could go there for every birthday dinner as children. This recipe was as close as we could ever get to Febo's.
