A beef or pork roast, any kind.
Roasts best in a cast iron Dutch Oven but any kind of pan with a lid will do.

Directions:
Directions:
Heat oven to 325º
Put the roast in the Dutch Oven
Add 1/4 to 1/2 cup water depending on the size of the roast
Salt & Pepper to taste
Can add onions or any seasonings you like
Put the lid on and roast for 1/2 hour per pound of meat
Grandpa likes crispie outer edges so I roast it longer or take the lid off and roast 1/2 hour longer uncovered

1/4 pound meat per person is what the books say. I allow more for bigger eaters or for leftovers

1/2 hour per pound of meat. Longer for crispie edges.
