1/2 c. sugar
1/2 lb. chopped pecans
1/2 lb. butter
2 c. sifted flour ~ sift then measure
Powdered sugar for rolling after baking

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat over to 350º. Cream sugar and butter. Slowly incorporate flour. Add pecans. Roll bits of batter into 1 1/2 inch balls. Shape into crescents. Put on COOL baking sheets about 1 inch apart. Bake 10 - 15 minutes at 350º until edges are lightly browned. Remove from baking sheet and let cool slightly. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar to coat. Allow to cool fully. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Dough can be frozen in advance. Thaw then bake. These were Gram's favorite!
