1 ¾ c navy beans – washed
milk, water, salt

Directions:
Directions:
Soak beans in morning or boil till soft. Add milk, water, salt. Let soup come to a boil. Separate for rivels & brown bread.

Rivels:
1 egg
¾ c flour

MIX.
If too solid, add milk a few drops at a time. Add rivels to boiling soup and let it come to a boil. Watch carefully so it doesn’t boil over.

Browned Bread:
Dice bread. Brown in oleo or butter. Simmer heat. Keep stirring till bread is dried.

Rivels:
Put 1 c flour in dish. Make a hole in center. Put 1 egg and salt in hole. Dribble milk over. Work easy with hands to make little balls.
