Ingredients:  
1 cup sugar
½ cup flour, minus 1 Tbsp.
1 pint heavy cream
1 unbaked pie crust shell
3 Tbsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 500º.
Mix sugar with flour. Add cream and stir well. Pour into pie shell and dot with butter.
Bake for 6 minutes. Stir mixture in pie shell and bake 5 minutes longer. Stir again and reduce oven temperature to 350º. Bake about 30 minutes longer, or until knife inserted near central comes out clean.
Cool before cutting.

Sugar cream pies are a basic dessert in Indiana where I grew up. Almost every pie baker has their own version. Always served for our Indiana Thanksgiving dinner.
