1 C. all-purpose flour
1 C. cornmeal
2/3 C sugar
1 tsp. salt
3-1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 egg
1 C. milk
1/3 C. vegetable oil

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 400º. Spray or grease 9" round cake pan, or I've used a 8 X 8 square pan.
In a large bowl, combine flour, cornmeal, sugar, salt, and baking powder. Stir in egg, milk, and vegetable oil until well combined. Pour batter into prepared pan.
Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until inserted toothpick comes out clean.
