For Cake:
1 C. butter
1 C. water
1/4 C. unsweetened cocoa powder
2 C. granulated sugar
2 C. all-purpose flour
1/8 tsp. kosher salt
2 large eggs, beaten eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 C. sour cream
1 tsp. vanilla extract

For Icing:
1/2 C. butter
1/4 C. unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 C. + 2 Tbsp. milk
1 lb. of confectioner's sugar, sifted
1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 C. pecans, chopped
Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º. Combine butter, water, and cocoa in a saucepan over medium heat; stir constantly until butter melts. Add sugar, flour, salt eggs, soda, sour cream, and 1 tsp. of vanilla; mix well. Pour batter into a 15 X 10 X 1 inch jelly roll pan or sheet cake pan.

Bake cake for about 20 minutes until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

While cake is cooking, prepare icing. Combine butter, cocoa, and milk in a saucepan; bring to a boil and then take off burner. Add confectioner's sugar and 1/2 tsp. of vanilla; blend icing with an electric hand mixer until sugar is fully incorporated. Stir in pecans.

Once cake is out of the oven ice cake immediately.
