4 Tbsp unsalted butter
1 cup chopped yellow onion
1/3 cup flour
4 cups Half-and-Half
1/2 Tbsp Old Bay
1 lb jumbo lump crabmeat
kosher salt
freshly ground pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Melt the butter in a 4-quart saucepan over medium heat.
Add the onion and cook, stirring often, until softened, about 5 minutes.
Add the flour and Old Bay, then cook 3 minutes more.
Pour in the Half-and-Half, whisking constantly, and cook just to a boil.
Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer, stirring occasionally, until thick, about 5 minutes.
Add the crabmeat and cook until heated through.
Season with salt and pepper to serve.
