2 cups sugar
1 c water
2/3 c light karo
1 scant teaspoon flavoring
vegetable coloring

Boil to crack good (Hard Ball)
Pour into well battered platter
Let cool until you can handle
Then cut into small pieces
Roll in xxxx sugar

Flavoring may be purchased at any drug store
Oil of cinnamon, oil of clove, oil of peppermint, etc

Add coloring desired to the mixture after removing from stove
