5 - 6 quarts sliced apples (do not peel or core)
2 !/2 cups sugar
1 Tbs. cinnamon

Mix sugar and cinnamon together. Layer apples and sugar mixture in a 5-qt. crock pot. Cover and cook on low all night. In the morning, run the apple mixture through a strainer or food mill. Put in hot jars and seal. Process in boiling water bathe for 15 minutes.

I adapted Grandma Kay's recipe to use in the crock pot. Splenda can be substituted for sugar but you will need to cook it down a little after processing.
