Ham bone,
1 pkg. dried peas,
5 carrots,
3 stalks of celery,
1 large onion,
4 potatoes,
1 large chicken bouillon cube
salt & pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Place ham bone in a soup pot and fill with water. Bring to a boil and simmer for one hour. Remove bone from pot and strain liquid. Return liquid to pot and add the dried peas. Bring to a boil and simmer covered. Meanwhile peel and chop carrots, celery, onion, and potatoes. Add to pot and simmer covered for another 40 minutes until vegetables are done and peas are soft. Remove ham from bone and return to pot. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve with a loaf of crusty French bread.
